For anyone that wants to be a Do It Yourself (DIY) person, Bucks County Community College offers courses on home improvement. 

You will learn the fundamentals needed to get the job done right – by YOU! Feel that sense of pride and accomplishment when you complete a home improvement project on your own!

There are seven course you can take.

Plumb-In-Luck . . . for the Homeowner — Working with copper/plastic pipe, sweating copper pipe, solvent welding plastic pipe, and installing drainage systems.

Wired! — Installing an electrical switch, three-way switch, a GFCI receptacle, a ceiling fan, and a light fixture.

Drywall Installed! — Learn how to install and repair drywall.

Painting to Perfection — Interior and exterior painting

The Complete Working with Concrete Course  —  Working with concrete, reinforcement techniques, and finishing

Install Tiles! — Learn to install flexible and ceramic tiles.

The Grand Opening: Doors and Windows — Learn to install windows and doors, including framing techniques, exact replacement, and finishing.

Cost is $39/ course or $245 for all seven courses.
